Letter to the Editor
This is precisely the problem in electing political party’s who don’t have clear policy direction set out as a plan on what they would do if they were to win government such as the current situation in Queensland. Three long months have now been wasted on inaction except to freeze staffing levels at already understaffed hospitals.
Yes we wanted a change, however it seems the price we will end up paying may be worse than if we had allowed the hopeless Qld ALP to continue in office. Lord knows the Qld ALP have learnt nothing from the experience of being unceremoniously dumped, as they have not taken any steps to reconstruct their party on a better model and it remains largely an undemocratic organization run largely by the conservative AWU and its faction.
Local members of the LNP government seem to be frozen in time and do not speak unless given permission from their leader in Brisbane. Queenslanders knew what our debt was months before the election at $64 Billion yet the only reaction from the government is to sell more assets? They truly are conservative in their thought patterns.
