Yet another 2754 sackings and further funding cuts in pathology from our LNP State government, goodness me where will it all end? The low income working families have never seen anything like this. Most of the public have been wide awake to this government and have quickly understood why they (LNP) were kept out of government in Queensland for so long.
It seems that policy is made by those in the S-E corner, for those in the S-E corner because nothing has changed in regional Queensland except we have borne the brunt of funding cuts re TTH, and Biosecurity lab among the high profile pathetic changes. Our five little lap dogs in our area have not fought the Brisbane line on our behalf, which they have been so amply paid to do.
The heat generated from Brisbane since the election could power the State for a hundred years that is all we see…talk, talk, talk. Oh yes we have plans being drawn up for this and plans being drawn up for that, rhetoric is not action. Before the election we wanted a new sports stadium in the CBD, accompanied by a new entertainment centre, Blakey’s crossing repaired and the list went on. We were going to be the second capital of Queensland…Nothing has materialized except more and more job cuts now it seems standing at 17,000.
How on earth could we follow this abject failure by electing more people from the ranks of the LNP who have bought us this disaster? They couldn’t manage a piss up at a brewery (apologies to those dainty people who have not heard the old Aussie expression) Next year the federal election will give us a chance to send a message to Campbell Newman and his motley crew that we have had enough and we won’t cop anymore. Health and Education is important to us, it is the only way to success for working class people.
Regards,
Shaun Newman
