It had to happen…..

It had to happen; the Queensland LNP is currently in absolute turmoil from ‘their’ Senator Brandis to the invisible Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls ‘without policies’ for Queensland. The Queensland LNP Senator labelling the Queensland LNP Opposition as “very mediocre” and failing to apologize to their Queensland leader. As far as the Queensland public are aware the only policy the LNP has is to privatize all State government services, the issue on which the Newman government lost the last election on after only one term.

At the federal level the Senator has been embroiled in a situation that appears on the strength of available evidence to be in an attempt to transfer a billion dollars of federal taxes to the State of West Australia, at the expense of every other State and Territory in Australia? With the One Nation party gaining 16% of the Queensland vote according to surveys, the LNP are on a slippery slope and are terrified of the prospect of losing even more seats in the Queensland parliament than they lost to lose government in the last Queensland election.

The resultant effect on the national parliament could also be catastrophic for the L&NP federal government in so many ways. The lacklustre performance of the Turnbull government would not be assisting the conservatives either. The federal party has severely cut “people” benefits, and should be planning a 19% tax upon the foreign corporations who operate within this country tax free, instead of trying to punish tourists for having the audacity to want to visit Australia as backpackers.

Surely now, the Australian Cricket selectors

18.12.16

Surely now the Australian Cricket selectors need to look again for a number 6 batsman following Nic Maddinson’s woeful performances at Test level. With scores of 0,1 and 4 surely it’s time that the dominance of New South Wales players was broken, and selectors look around the country at other batsmen from other States, who would only be too pleased to do the job. The Cricket NSWs influence on Test selection must cease, and a fair go be given to good cricketers from other States.

So at last we see

14.12.16

So at last we see the last actions of an unpopular government, the L&NP federal government once again are going to punish the poor from the 1st of January 2017. https://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/actuonline/pages/814/attachments/original/1481586094/A4_pension_fact_sheet_updated.pdf?1481586094 Part pensioners will lose roughly $130 per pay. The federal government have removed almost all benefits from the Australian “people” in the past 3 years, and now they are tackling the poorest of the poor, which is absolutely disgusting, but so typically Liberal and National Party actions.

By the time they are voted out in 2019 there will be nothing left to save, they will have converted this once great nation into a humble copy of the USA, and will have pushed the category of ‘living in poverty’ way past the current rate of over 3 million “people.” That took them 3 years to achieve. The economic mismanagement  has pushed the budget deficit inherited from Labor at $19 Billion to around $40 Billion in only little over 3 years, however what was a budget emergency at $19 Billion has suddenly become ‘good debt’ at around $40 Billion? Having cut or abolished most benefits or concessions that they inherited, to save money, yet their incompetence has managed to treble the deficit. Yet there is one source of revenue that has been deliberately overlooked, the foreign multinational multibillion dollar corporations who this year have grown from the humble amount last year of 579 to this year being 679 corporations who have not paid a cent in income tax since their mates were elected in 2013.

Their quest is almost complete, next will be Medicare, then the PBS and then and only then will they be satisfied.

Shaun Newman

Seventy years

Seventy years of USA influence finally caught up with our suburb today. Deeragun recorded its first murder. After all the violence we have seen on our TV screens and at the movies, it has finally paid off for those trying to promote anarchy. Why Australians embrace US culture is a mystery to me, we once had an Australian culture that citizens of the USA enjoyed in Crocodile Dundee all those years ago. Since then our culture has been their culture.

Now if these people travel to Australia, all they will see is exactly what they would see at home, thus no reason to travel at all. We have a McDonald’s on nearly every major corner in Townsville. When the Mackay sisters were murdered all those years ago the city was shocked, these days murder seems commonplace, and we see so much of it. May my wife and I send our deepest condolences to the family of the lady who was brutally murdered.

Terrible news out today

Terrible news out today 07.12.16 that due to economic mismanagement from the federal government the Australian economy has shrunk by 0.5pc in the September quarter, which is in fact the worst fall since the Global Financial Crisis in 2008. This bought the annual growth rate to a miserable 1.8 pc which was far below market expectations. Economic growth, construction data were much worse than expected, and business confidence was also weak.

The last time Australia had a negative quarter was in 2011, when Queensland floods knocked out a large portion of coal production. One negative quarter does not mean recession however many respected economists have predicted an Australian recession this year or next. This does not bode well for everyday Australians given that 1,101,000 people in Australia are looking for work (figures Roy Morgan Research) with a further 1,002,000 people under-employed and not earning enough to support themselves. This L&NP government have led this country into a crisis point with their negative policies, we must change asap.

2017 – It’s Time to be like Gough

The Greatest Australian PM who ever held the office, he was for “people” not no tax paying corporations.

Perhaps it has conveniently

Perhaps it has conveniently overlooked that the Adani coal mine will not produce the thousands of jobs claimed, but will produce enough carbon pollution to further fuel Climate Change to kill the Great Barrier Reef and the 70,000 jobs that rely upon it. In turn this will kill the Queensland economy and of course in turn the Australian economy, but hey, we want those few hundred jobs don’t we?
